RTAC-2020
XVI International Conference on Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry in Russia is following with a long-time Russian and Soviet tradition of such meetings. The tradition was based by Lev Germanovich Berg (1896–1974), Professor of Kazan University, who gave the early theoretical bases of DTA. Berg was the major person in organizing the first Russian conferences on thermal analysis (formerly named thermography) in Kazan (1953 and 1957), followed by All-Union conferences in Riga (1962), continued by Moscow (1969), Novosibirsk (1973), Zvenigorod (1976), Riga (1979), Kuybyshev (1982), Uzhgorod (1985), Leningrad (1989), and by Russian conferences in Samara (1993), Kazan (1996), Samara (2003) and St. Petersburg (2013, 2016). This tradition of meetings has reflected a considerable spread of thermal analysis methods in territory of Soviet Union (up to 1991) and Russia.
